In March 2025, Institut finlandais is back with a series of screenings as part of the Hors Pistes / Paths Less Travelled programme.

Hors Pistes / Paths Less Travelled is a programme that explores the trajectories of our ever-changing lives, and the paths we take to reconnect to ourselves, others and the world around us. On this occasion, we have invited Finnish cinema expert Irmeli Debarle to select three movies for our cinema programme.

Through the season’s film selection, we get to follow an initially friendly relationship that turns into a rivalry in The Disciple, a group taking a vacation that changes each of their lives in Adult Camp, and the path of a young orphan showing us that with humour and sensitivity, the instinctive energy of life allows us to overcome unbearable emotions, in Boy Upside Down.

As always on screening evenings, Institut finlandais’ boutique and Café Maa will remain open until the film starts at 7pm. Enjoy a drink or a snack before the film! Book your seats for each screening on our online ticket shop.

Book the full cycle at a reduced price here.

Adult Camp follows a group of women and men who don’t know each other as they spend a week on an organised vacation, set on an archipelago island. Abandoned by the organiser, the vacationers must face this unexpected situation and organise themselves. This week on the island may not fulfil the video’s promise of being “the greatest week of your life,” yet each person will come back a little changed by the experience.
