This summer, Institut finlandais has the pleasure to support five performances as part of our TelepArt programme:
Alexi Tuomarila Trio is a critically acclaimed jazz trio composed of award winning pianist Alexi Tuomarila, bassist Mats Eilertsen, and drummer Olavi Louhivuori. Bringing together Nordic melancholia and folk influences with strong melodies and dynamic improvisations, the trio is known for their compelling sound. Alexi Tuomarila Trio’s new album Sphere received the renowned EMMA prize for Best Jazz Recording of the Year 2020.
They have been invited to perform at the notable jazz festival Première Rencontre autour du piano, in Guadeloupe, organised from 13 to 17 June 2023.
