Free event at 33, rue du Sommerard
On Thursday 30 May 2024, let’s take over the Rue du Sommerard for a unique Block party! The Block Party brings the party to the street: the event will have street dance battles and demonstrations by Finnish and French dancers, DJ sets and an open-air dance floor. Everyone is welcome to join!
The event is part of our Ensemble ! programme, which celebrates the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic games by exploring the theme of togetherness. This year, breaking – a form of street dance – has been officially recognised as an Olympic sport, and we wanted to organise an event all about street dance with experts in the field. The evening will aim to bring people together, inviting them to explore dance in an easy-going and fun way.
Join us with host and choreographer Sonya Lindfors, host Rajdi el subliminal, DJ Wekesa and DJ GoodFather, street dancers Linda Ilves, Baby Roc 1, Bboy Pham, Bboy Scoop, Axelito 4D, Bboy Viewtifool Jack and Bboy Kyle, streetwear thrift store Calistory and the coproducers of the event, Bgirls Ramona Panula and Nacéra Guerra.
