In dialogue with the exhibition Pekka Halonen, an Ode to Finland presented at the Petit Palais Museum, Institut finlandais has invited artists and creatives from different fields to create together an ambitious programme, for an exceptional season exploring the themes of the emblematic painter’s work.
PROGRAMME:
Exhibition Roots by Kustaa Saksi
7.11.2025 – 21.2.2026 / Free entry, from Tuesday to Saturday, 11am to 6pm.
New exhibition by visual artist Kustaa Saksi. Inspired by the work and life of Pekka Halonen, Saksi imagined a monumental installation for Institut finlandais : a gnarled pine tree, spanning 15 meters in length. Floating like an organic creature, it dominates the space with snow-covered branches and exposed roots forming a fractal-like structure where abstract and figurative elements intertwine.
