Screening: Tove
Tuesday, 19 May 2026 – 8pm
Grand Action Cinema
Following on from the Visions Nordiques festival in spring 2025, Nordic cinema is returning to Paris in 2026, once a month on a Tuesday at the Grand Action cinema (5 rue des écoles, Paris 5). The month of May will be dedicated to Finnish cinema with the film Tove (2020), directed by Zaida Bergroth.
Awarded Best Film at the Jussi Awards in 2021, Tove offers a novel and romantic take on Tove Jansson, the complex artist behind one of the most iconic creations in children’s literature: the Moomins. A painter and novelist as well, Jansson created a rich and profound artistic world that continues to resonate with new generations in Finland and around the world.
The screening will be followed by a discussion with Zaida Bergroth, filmmaker, and Tuula Yrjö-Koskinen, director of Institut finlandais.
