In her art, Riina Noro (born 1981) explores natural disasters and world politics, not forgetting an individual’s perspective in the middle of it all. For Noro, artmaking is research on paper, secretly teaching her things about this world. In art, it is possible to deal with themes one cannot shout from the rooftops. Since 2013, Noro has worked in Autism Foundation Finland’s Art Studio.

Noro’s creations address global issues from the 90s to the present day. The artist creates her unique pieces using a mixed media technique on paper. Explore Riina Noro’s artwork displayed in our gallery as part of the exhibition Imagine Everyday! Outsider Art Finland, in collaboration with Pertti’s Choice from 14 April to 13 July 2023.
