Moving in November is a contemporary dance festival that takes place every year in the Helsinki area. Institut finlandais has had the pleasure of co-producing a series of dance performances called Nature Untitled by choreographer Veli Lehtovaara, artist Eija-Liisa Ahtila and sound designer Jani Hietanen. Their work will have its world premiere as part of the festival.

Nature Untitled is a triptych where its three parts are presented in different places: the first one in an empty oil silo, the second on stage and the last one inside a shopping centre. The work explores the relationship between humans, dance and ecology through an allegorical approach. The spectators can choose to attend only one of the three performances, or immerse themselves in the entirety of the spectacle.

With the idea of emphasising how tightly we are bound to nature, Veli Lehtovaara and his group worked on Nature Untitled in summer 2022 during their residency at La Briqueterie, Vitry sur Seine.
