Get into the winter spirit and join us for a journey through the snowy landscapes and captivating mythologies of northern Finland! The family film Tale of the Sleeping Giants (2021) will be screened at Institut finlandais in English this December, followed by an afternoon snack at Café Maa. The event is organised in collaboration with the Embassy of Finland in France.
Tale of the Sleeping Giants (Tunturin tarina) is a Finnish film directed by Marko Röhr and shot entirely in the wilderness amid the mountains, lakes and rivers of Lapland. The film completes the trilogy of nature films that began with Tale of the Forest and Tale of the Lake. Watch the trailer here. Bears, foxes, reindeers, hawks and eagles are the main actors of this film. It is a journey into the rich mythology surrounding northern nature and its animals. What are their stories?
